SPARC TOMAKAK PROJECT (US EAST COAST) – AUGUST 2024

Cryeng has successfully completed the fabrication and performance testing of two 95kL 24barg vacuum-insulated liquid helium tanks for Commonwealth Fusion Systems’ SPARC Tokamak project.

In addition to vacuum and super insulation, the tanks are fitted with integral nitrogen cooled heat shields, designed to absorb and dissipate latent radiant heat from the vacuum space. To meet the stringent requirements of fusion energy applications, all external nozzles, lines, and valves are also vacuum insulated, enabling the storage and transfer of liquid helium at temperatures below -265°C, essential for cooling the fusion device during operation.

Cryeng is also supplying Commonwealth Fusion Systems with two 190kL 24barg vent tanks and a 190kL 44barg press tank as part of their helium recovery system.

At Cryeng Group, we take pride in our capability to develop and deliver critical products that support our customers in the groundbreaking field of net-positive cold fusion power generation.

WOODSIDE PLUTO 2 PROJECT (WESTERN AUSTRALIA) – NOVEMBER 2023

This week Cryeng has delivered 3 x 290kL 10bar ASME U-stamped Vacuum Insulated Storage Vessels for the storage of liquid ethylene to Bechtel. They are currently on-board a charter vessel to be delivered to Woodside’s Pluto 2 project in Western Australia.

At 40m long and over 100t each it is a good thing we have large shops and cranage and good road access to Laem Chabang international shipping port.

Another successful project delivered on time and to a high standard.

WOODSIDE PLUTO 2 EXPANSION PROJECT – OCTOBER 2023

Cryeng have completed the design and fabrication of a bespoke nitrogen supply skid for our customer Bechtel to be installed in Woodside’s Pluto 2 expansion project.

The skid is fully automated through telemetry and on-board PLC control system and control valves to decant and vaporize liquid nitrogen from the vacuum insulated storage tank and supply nitrogen gas at the flow rates and pressure required downstream.

For ease of transport the skid frame conforms to 40ft ISO shipping container dimensions with corner castings. The skid showcases Cryeng’s capability to integrate PLC control systems into our pressure equipment to the exacting standards of our customers HAZOP and operational requirements.

LNG OPERATIONS IN WA – AUGUST 2023

Another batch of Cryeng LNG Road Tankers at port en route to support our customers’ LNG operations in WA.

FREEPORT LNG RESTORATION – FEBRUARY 2023
